Fernandobrazil I know this is your team. But VY was never going get fair chance to play for this team. This was not VY outplaying Thigpen he out play Fitz . This was about Chan setting stage to keep thigpen he went to the press putting out that VY was having problem with the playbook and that thigpen knew the playbook so no matter how good VY looked he could he could alway said VY did not know the book. But you know payback a bitch.

so, fernando, do you still think vince had a fair shot?
i do think vince needs to be smarter than to be manipulated like this, but I do think that Chan played his cards right and just drove a stake through vince's heart the moment he could. anything to keep his Thiggy on the team. the man is disgustingly low. and the Bills fans who think he has the team's best interest at heart must be blind. he just wants to help his buddies until he gets fired, which he know he will at the end of the season.
he is like the conman who is just waiting for people to catch on and finally out him. he is just waiting and waiting and waiting... and still getting away with it. a few more months until his end is near. in the meantime, thigpen gets another $2.5 million in his bank account and vince is walking around like a lame, wobbly duck.
very distasteful. i sure hope that this raises the alarm bells about chan's decision making with respect to vince. which would do a little bit to restore his reputation.

I think the thing is, Buddy Nix knowns Thigpen is horrible and wanted an upgrade at the backup spot. Chan never wanted another guy, since he was the responsable for Thigpen signing last year. Nix signed VY. Chan not wanted him. Nix had to release him. Nix bring TJax. Chan had another reason to keep thiggy ( no time for TJax). I willl not be surprised if they release or try to trade TJax and keep thigpen. It's a big big shame. The Bills always find ways to frustrate me. sad.

Here a great post. This is Classic Gailey
Overrating his players that he has and knows well, and relying to heavily on a good working relationship over talent. We don’t need 4 QBs on this team at all, even if Brad Smith and the newly aqcuired T Jax are two of them. Lets be honest, if Fitzpatrick ends up being terrible, or gets injured, NONE of the other QBs on this roster are capable of getting it done, especially Thigpen. T Jax maybe later in the season might be able to salvage something, but it sure as heck won’t ever come from Thigpen or Smith. I’m so done wwith wildcat two play QB/WR expperiments and guys named Thigpen. There is absolutely zero chance Thigpen is on the Bills roster still if a) Gailey hadn’t worked ith him in KC b) Gailey didn’t constantly put faith in mediocre talent and c) Any other Head Coach was in there exceppt Gailey. Bold prediction numbers #6 through whatever: Gailey is out by the beginning of next season, Wannstedt is in Brad Smith will be gone after this season, so will Thigpen, and Tjax. Fitzpatrick lives up to his typical inconsistent ways, and loses his job as starting QB to our First Round Draft Pick in 2013, because Nix is done believing in the “good” working relationship of the lawfirm Gailey-Fitzpatrick-Thigpen and Partners. I just have to keep getting more and more honest about the situation when we keep Thigpen over younger potential at other positions and we keep believing Brad Smith can be a competitive pro at two positions, and we don’t believe in spending a legitimate draft pick (read round #1 or round #2 pick) on a real potential QB for the future of Buffalo. GO BILLS!

Well I guess nothing surprises me now. VY out-performed Thigpen through out the Bills preseason.

Have been reading the blogs and still some Bills stuff. Abundantly clear to me now: - Gailey always wanted Thigpen to stick around. Never had any intention of not doing so. Which made it imperative to cut VY and cut him at the very last minute. - Nix is off his rockers. He actually thinks they are going to challenge the Pats for the leadership of the division - which tells me that Gailey knows how to play Nix like a fiddle. He can make him believe anything he wants So, there you have it: the small markets like the Bills and TN are all the same: nobody exernal gives a flying ***k about them, so the GMs or owners are vulnerable to conmen/politicians like Fisher and Gailey who tell them they can take the franchise to the top of the mountain, as long as the conmen get full control. And then it becomes abuddy-buddy game.
I am getting enough of the NFL. I may tune out until the playoffs. Maybe the SB.
I will check in every once in a while to see if Vince is back. Unitl he is, I am going to leave you all to talk to yourselves without me. And I am going to hit the bottle. Just tonight.
Happy Labor Day weekend P.S. Fernando, you have to find another team to root for than those Bills. Everyone other than the locals will have forgotten about them come November. Do let me know if Gailey gets fired in the most gruesome way possible. He deserves it.

I'm hitting the bottle with ya Joan.
I'm going to hope that Vince gets picked up soon. The waiting game commences anew.
The god damn egos in the NFL are fucking unbelievable.

Joan, i can't root for another team, i'm a Bills fan since i was 10 years old. Also, we have some good players and guys who deserves all the best things like Stevie, Kyle Williams and Fred Jackson, for an example. Also, i belive the team will be good this year, with a improved defense led by an amazing D-Line. The only thing who can slow down my team is the QB play, and i belive it will be the reason we maybe can't make the playoffs again. Also it sucks to watch Gailey give benefits to his favorites like Thigpen, Fitz and Choice. I will not be surprised if they try to trade T-Jax a couple of weeks before the trade deadline and keep Thigpen. It's a shame.

ok. so, I needed a break and figured that, hoping against hope, I check in to see if vince has gotten a Labor Day gift. not yet - sigh-
Anyway, Fernando, your fellow Bills fans know Gailey's DNA by now, and what they are not willing to admit is that this kind of DNA will get you nowhere. But this is what some of them say:
"Ha, I called it, Thig is here another season. Thig is here forever and Chan will make sure of it as long as he is here. Hey we should be happy we got a barn full of below average talent at QB we can get another top 5 pick if Fitz fails or gets hurt. Chan showing his true colors on how he handled Thig and Young, friendship over talent."
And that my friend, is the whole story of the Bills. They will always be hopeful for succes in the future. And the future will always be just beyond reach. The Texans used to be like that. They had the good luck that the Colts imploded and the Titans blew up their team. With only the Jags being an unchanged competitor, making the playoffs was hard to screw up. Switch out the Dolphins for the Jags, you unfortunately have 2 teams who will end up ahead of your Bills.
Anyway, I just wish the utmost misery upon Chan Gailey. If he never wanted Vince, he should not have used Vince to prop up Thigpen. Which he clearly did.
And Vince needs to stay more patient, so that he cannot be manipulated by ***holes like Gailey. Stay ready, stay hungry, study teams, and step in when someone goes down in October, Vince. And do NOT go to the Dolphins under any scenario ;-)
