Today the Bills released former star pass rusher Shwane Merriman. Gailey was talking him up a lot during the camp, saying he was looking like his oldself. That shows to me we can't trust much on what Chan talk about players and how the're doing. It's good to me, because i think he knows Thigpen is not in the same level of VY, he's just talking Thigpen up and making VY earn the job. Also, it shows if Fitz struggles, he will not hesitate to put Vince in if he feels it give the best chance of win to the Bills.

I agreww with you on one thing: whatever comes out of Gailey's mouth is not to be trusted or taken as a sign of anything. I think Jeff Fisher wrote the Bibel on maintaining your coaching job: work the press as hard as you work your team and your boss (GM). Shape all their opinions the way you want them. And then results are only a secondary issue. As long as you don't outright fail, you can last a long time.
Gailey's only big problem with this Bible is that people are waiting to see if the 5-2 or 1-8 Bills are going to show up. If it looks like the latter, yes, he will yank Fitz quicker than you can say 'yank'...

Yeah, i think he likes Fitz, but if Fitz can't be the 5-2 Fitz, and play like in the 1-8 finish ( who was more like all his career) he will be benched for sure. I belive that's the reason Nix said after the draft that the Bills will sign a backup QN and a "pretty good" one. Gailey loved Trent Edwards when he comes to Buffalo, and never said nothing so positive about Fitz. In Week 3 of that season he benched and released Edwards and gave the job to Fitz. I can see this happening again if he feels fitz can't lead the team.

Mark Gaughan@gggaughan Chan says VY will get most of reps at No. 2 this week and in game ... VY would have to turn into Pete Gonzalez to not beat out Tyler Thigpen

"I let it get to me, even though I tried not to let it. I was trying to protect myself from getting hurt -- now I'm just giving it all," Jackson told ESPN's Lisa Salters.
Total a**hole last year. That would have been 2 extra TDs on Vince's resume, a close game (instead of a 'blowout') against the Pats, and Vince would have had a different rep coming out of Philly.
Let's hope tha Vince gets to be the start mid-season-ish and then gets a shot at pulverizing this wuss and his overrated team in the playoffs. I tihnk the Bills can be a perfect fit for Vince, but I don't like that Gator-arms DJax screwed Vince so badly last year.

Gailey on Young:
“Vince Young has performed well enough in the last two games to warrant more work,” said Gailey. “He’ll get the majority of the work with the twos this week. He’ll get most of the reps with the second group when they go in on Saturday night. We need to see how he can handle more game plan, more playing time, more everything. It’s not an indictment on Tyler it’s just Vince has done some good things and we know where Tyler is. We’ve got to evalute Vince more.”
Young has looked more confident of late and it was on display at the end of practice as he completed a two-minute drive with a lofted pass in the end zone for Derek Hagan, who jumped high to beat his defender to the ball and score along the left sideline of the end zone to finish practice Monday.

I see the puzzle coming together, the map being laid out, the statue being built.. or whatever..lol. Vince pretty much has #2 in his pocket. After he receives the #2 Job he will be pushing for Fitz job. One injury, three games lost, VY will be in QB drama once again. I hate to wish bad things on people but got Dog-it I hope this happen. All I see is a Semi CJ in Spiller, a Lyndell in Fred, Kenny Britt in Stevie... I need VY to show is Ass this year. Im laughing at the Titans and I officially hate the eagles..

Now this is worry me. VY having to learn a new system not getting paid a lot and now this crap. When the titians let VY go they owe him money and that why cheap ass Bud let VY go. Bills QB Young seeks protection from loan companyBUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) -- Vince Young filed a request seeking a protective court order to stop a company from collecting nearly $1.7 million on a loan the Buffalo quarterback said he has no knowledge of ever taking out. In papers filed in New York State Supreme Court in Manhattan on Monday, Young said he never dealt with the loan company, Pro Player Funding. He added, he has no recollection of agreeing to or signing documents to take out a $1.877 million loan in May 2011. And Young said in an affidavit that he is unaware of who took out the loan in his name and that, to his knowledge, he never received any money from the loan. In filing the motion, the quarterback's attorneys are asking the court to stop Pro Player from attempting to collect money and also bar the company from approaching the quarterback as they say happened during training camp. Young said a person tried to approach him at training camp in suburban Rochester earlier this month in an attempt to serve him papers to appear for a deposition regarding the loan. The person, Young said, was turned away by security officials. The papers, the quarterback said, were eventually left with Bills officials and forwarded to Young.Young's motion comes in response to Pro Player's claims that the quarterback defaulted on the loan by missing in payment in May shortly after signing a one-year contract potentially worth $3 million with Buffalo.
