June 19 day one Training Camp VY was given the day off. Here some high lites Tyler Thigpen threw that pass, and that was about the only pass that he didn't struggle with. Thigpen was all over the place a large portion of the practice, missing receivers high and wide. He's going to have to improve quickly to not lose too much ground to his training camp opponent Vince Young.

Vy not had a day off, he practiced most as a 3rd team QB. No plays by him in the highlights. Maybe today he has more opportunitys with the 2s.

more about VY in day 2: "Tyler Thigpen took second-team snaps at quarterback and Young was the third QB. But Young threw the ball a bit better than Thigpen. It's going to take Young time to adjust to a new offense. But his good arm and quick feet were in evidence. On one red-zone play, he nimbly escaped the pocket due to pressure from a blitz and threw a strike on the run to Naaman Roosevelt in the end zone. Young also had a perfect, 20-yard pass in the corner of the end zone to tight end Dorin Dickerson. Those were two of the prettiest offensive plays of the day." blogs.buffalonews.com/press-coverage/2012/06/wr-hagan-shows-reliable-hands.html

Vince had another very good deep throw to TE scot Chandler, but he droped it in the endzone. That's all for today folks. Looked like a good day for VY.

As said before I think QB coach wanted VY. Am I right or wrong on this? I belive anyone in NFL really trusts VY. That's the reason they do not give anything to him. He will need to earn every opportunity and i thin he's doing well in Buffalo. If Thigpen has one guy in his side in the Bills organization, this guy is coach Gailey who coached him before in Kansas. He likes Thigpen, but i'm sure VY will " win" this batlle and will have his shot when Fitz struggles again.

So, final minicamp day, and little talk about VY plays. All i could find was a great VY throw deep downfield completed to Donald Jones. Today Coach Gailey talked about were VY stand with Bills offense, and how he's trying to catch-up. He said VY is doing well but he has a long road to go, since other players are in this offense for 2 full seasons now. That is the only advantage to Thigpen, since VY is a waaaay better QB. I belive after pre season play, anyone will doubt VY beat Thigpen. Like i said, i belive the only reason it's a battle it's because anyone trusts VY in NFL, and the Bills staff has his doubts about if VY is capable of learn they offense or at least a good part of it to play when needed. VY is showing great work ethic and he will win this job for sure.

Now that the 3 day mandatory mincamp is over, we will be able to see more just when the official training camps begins. VY worked as a 3rd team QB mostly in those 3 days. I belive the reason Thigpen worked more with the 2s is because he lost the previous week with a minor injury and VY had all the reps to him. They are just being fair and giving Thigpen his shot too. From what i was able to watch/read i belive VY is having solid days, but it looks clear he needs time to learn this new offense. I don't belive it will be a problem when pre season begins, and i'm sure he will be more sucesfull than Fitz even running only half of the playbook. In Tennessee they always said how Fisher could open more the offense with Kerry Collins, but we all could see just how the Titans were more sucessfull with VY running the show in a more "simple" offense.

So, training camps are open and the news are starting to come. After first day of practice, the first news are about VY throwing a couple off INTS on 7 on 7 drills. Not very good news to start, but it's ok, since the starter is the best turnover machine in NFL. Let's see how it will look like during nexts practices and preseason games.

Interceptions are to be expected. Its early and Vince is learning a new offense for the third straight season.

- Along the same lines of left tackle, the Bills will alternate between Tyler Thigpen and Vince Young on who gets the second team repetitions during a practice. Today was Thigpen's day, and it was one to forget. Thigpen constantly had a noticeable wobble on most of his passes and was missing very easy throws.
