I agree Aaron....If Vince would have had a good game when the Eagles played the Seahawks, I think Carroll may have picked Vince up...Oh well!

Yes, well, there are many painful 'what ifs' unfortunately. I mean, in Philly he is not remembered for putting a beating on Eli, nor for throwing >400 yards in a game against the Pats that could have been much closer had a**hole DJax not been such a pussy (dropping a TD that literally fell in (and out of) his lap + not even looking at the other TD pass that went straight through his hands), but only for 1 10 second, two word expression (dream team) during his first press conference.
But I think the NFL is done for him. The only times you see him being mentioned in any press is as a cautionary tale or a bad example. Everything he did that was good, is forgotten by now. Very, very painful, but unless miracles happen, we will all need to get used to him being effectively retired from the NFL. Voluntarily or involuntarily.
If only Bob McNair had not been such a you-know-what and picked Vince, I am convinced that he would have thrived and that he would be playing at a high level now. I guess Vince's tale is one in which we all loose. Except for master political animal Field Goal Fish. Hate that spineless backstabber. But water under the bridge.
Anyone remotely excited about other QBs? I guess I have a moral duty (hometown team) to support the Niners. And I do hope they beat Cheat Carroll to pulp in the next match ups. Can't say that I am very excited about any QB out there right now.

Exactly Aaron....I have always felt if Vince could have brought the Eagles back in that game against the Seahawks he would have been a Seahawk...So sad!
