Ian Rapeport just reported VY will be the backup, since the Packers are ready to release Harrel.

now let's keep building on this. if he can soak up the knowledge, experience, and culture of the Packers organization, he will be a starter again some day...

audrey, could not agree more with you. keeping the faith. oh, and I believe I have commented on how negative Yahoo! was about Vince (i.e. they wrote 3 articles about the GB-SEA game and did not mention Vince even once yesterday) - well, here is your evidence #4 that the Yahoo! folks (who wrote articles that were probably dictated by Jeff Fisher back in the days) truly hate Vince: sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/vince-young-apparently-earned-job-green-bay-packers-205948510.htmlThe whole tone and use of words of the article is just sickening. The fact that people earn a living writing this hatred is just maddening. And that was a very polite way of putting it. Anyway, let's hope Vince gets to do what he did when he came to the Titans rescue in 2009 and ignore all the haters. Sad though that an outlet like Yahoo is such an unvarnished hater outfit ;-( And yes, it has been reason enough for me to stop reading the yahoo homepage. I can't conttibute to the wellbeing of a site that tolerates this sh*t
