I think he did OK in the interview. What came out clearly was how FishFace was two-faced, telling him one thing and the media another. Always undermining Vince. So, it is good that he addressed these issues.
On the other hand, when he was asked why a team should believe that these issues are all behind him, I would have liked him to be more forceful and positive. He came back and led a team to a 8-2 and 6-2 (or something like that) record in 2009 and 2010.
Fisher really is the scum of the earth. Maybe saying that is insulting to the scum of the earth.
But I cannot believe that we are still talking about these incidents from 4+ years ago. I do agree with you, JAF, that Vince brought much of this upon himself with how he dealt with being pulled from that last game against the Redskins. If he had just cooled it, he would have been pursued much more aggressively by teams and Fisher would have been the one who would have to do all the explaining. Instead, Vince shot himself in the foot/back. Bad move.
But he deserves - and is clearly desperate for - another chance. It is insane to see that he is basically begging for a shot to make a roster. Sickening. But I believe that he will be fine if he gets a real shot somewhere. So, we will keep one eye optimistically focused on that opportunity and another eye is turning 'skeptical' and thinks I will be abandoning the NFL in the upcoming season. Guess I am going to have to watch basketball or something like it. Where is Shaq playing these days? (j/k)
