here some post from fans
VY had 4 seasons of substantial time as a starter. His records were 8-5, 9-6, 8-2, and 4-4. His QB ratings were 67, 71, 83, and 99. Even in his first couple of seasons where his QB ratings were low, he contrubuted more with his legs and his team won. Most importantly, at no point did people question whether he should remain the starter. Then he came back in 2009 and posted much improved stats while continuing to win on a team that lost without him. Even in the 4-4 season, he was 3-1 when he played the whole game. There are at least 8 current starting QBs - Romo, Vick, Weeden, Sanchez, Skelton, Newton, Gabbert, and Cassel - who are having worse seasons than VY has ever had, yet he got cut and is out of the league. That's what we are talking about with VY having been held to a different standard. My only faint hope is that if the rumors are true about Vick being on the hot seat, Andy Reid brings in VY. I know the haters will laugh that off, but I think Reid is one of the few coaches out there who genuinely likes VY as a QB. He showed a lot of faith in him last year. Another possibility would be Reid starting with a new team next year and bringing in VY as a veteran who knows his system.
Here is an interesting thought - what if VY were brought into Carolina in the offseason? Don't give up on Cam yet, but have a veteran backup with the same skillset and previous NFL success ready to come in should he falter.

god. awful watching byron leftwich being on a team like the steelers, just producing negative yardage, not being able to do shit, and vince sitting at home. this is beyond frustrating.
i am glad the eagles saw that foles is not the hero these guys thought he was. i would be totally on board with a vince II regime in philly. having seen KC, I surely would advise vince not to go there, even if all QBs on that team are suddenly not able to play. horrendous.
maybe SF?
I know I am delusional if i think that is possible, but facing the reality of no interest in vince while these mediocre QBs are on the field is heart wrenching. i am totally with you, justafan

I am so god damned bummed out that Vince hasn't been able to become "the" starter for a team since Fisher fucked him, let alone playing ANY football this year during the regular season.
I am trying to come to terms that Vince may never be a starter again. It is NOT fucking fair. Fuck!
I hope that I'm not coming off as a petulant child. I just needed to vent. I apologize for the language.
It's just that football was so much fun to watch when Vince was kicking ass on the field. I wish we could experience one season of that again. Do you hear me Football Gods?! One year of Vince playing his heart out. That's all I ask. And if you won't listen?... then to hell with you.

amen to that, aaron. i am already preparing myself to look towards next season: which one of the struggling teams will can their QB? MN, JACS, etc.
shocking that Vince will not get a shot this year.
and i sure as hell hope that Gailey gets the worst possible punishment. for a long, long time.
